No prize, no odds and no opponent. You can't win extra money. The best financial outcome is having your own card hold released, with nothing charged.
What actually happens to my money?
Apple Pay authorises a hold through Stripe. Accepted proof releases it; a missed task or rejected proof means it is collected as a Sworn service fee. Your bank determines how quickly a released hold disappears.
Does my payment go directly to charity?
No. Your payment is a Sworn service fee, not a charitable donation. Separately, Sworn donates 75% of all its revenue to its fixed monthly charity, currently Beyond Blue. Users do not select or direct donations.
Who checks the proof?
A real person checks your in-app photo or video. Evidence should clearly show your specific task, align with its date and time, and not be AI-generated or a photo of another photo. Keep your reference code if you need to request a review.
Do I need an account?
No signup or password. Your pledges are available on your phone. An email is collected at payment for confirmation, and your reference code helps you find a pledge or request support.
Can I cancel?
You can cancel without a charge within two hours of starting your pledge. After that, you're committed. Sworn is for adults aged 18 and over; read the terms before putting money on a goal.
